Additional Creative Aurvana X-Fi Noise-Canceling Headphones Information

Creative Aurvana X-Fi Headphones are the world's first noise-canceling headphones equipped with X-Fi technology. The noise-cancellation feature lets you enjoy your music without unnecessary distraction. X-Fi technology breathes life into your songs by restoring detail and expanding your music and movies to surround sound. X-Fi Crystalizer technology restores the detail and vibrancy to your compressed music and movies. All the highs and lows are intelligently enhanced, ensuring you hear everything in crystal clear clarity. X-Fi CMSS-3D technology expands your stereo MP3s and digital movies into virtual surround sound over the headphones. Voices are centered in front of you and ambient sounds are moved all around you. The noise-cancellation technology significantly reduces background and environment noise by up to 90 percent. You can even detach the audio cable and continue using the headphones to block out noise while you sleep. Large 40mm drivers are acoustically tuned to produce an accurate and linear response, be it for music or movie enjoyment. You can now connect your headphones to the seat socket of the airplane, your home entertainment system, MP3 players, iPod and even the iPhone. You can easily place the phones and all the bundled accessories into the included travel case and bring it along with you wherever you go.

What Customers Say About Creative Aurvana X-Fi Noise-Canceling Headphones:

They will slip off your head if you lean your head back or are reclining. I wear them almost every day. They are huge so you have to commit to looking funny, being an audiophile this is not a problem for me. I bought these for while riding on the subway, so I could care less about disturbing other people with all the noise from the train and the performing musicians that get on and perform their audio assault to a captive audience.

The noise cancelling feature does make a difference, and it's much appreciated that you can still listen to music if the batteries die and you can't use the noise cancelling feature. The sound is very good. The headphones are great at blocking out sound without playing music or turning on the noise cancelling feature. I use rechargeable batteries so this doesn't bother me at all. The cord is removeable which is nice if it gets broken or you want to replace it with a shorter or longer cord. They do tend to crush my glasses against my head, so I try to wear contacts with them. The sound leak is pretty bad. There is a volume control on the ear which is nice if you need to replace the cord.

It takes 2 AA batteries. The sound leak might make you self concious if you're in a quiet location, or on an airplane and do not want to disturb others. Comfort is very good. Great for when you want things quiet or to block outside noise.

The batteries do not last a long time. They sit outside the ears. Also having volume control on the cord is annoying and bulky. I've had these headphones about 8 months and so far they are fantastic.

These headphones are fantastic, they are one of the best purchases I've ever made. I usually go through 4 batteries in 10 hours. It's nice to have volume control instead of being limited to just volume control on your player.

I will still use my Creative headphones whild doing yard work with the exposed wires and foam padding and duct tape on the battery door, and save my Bose headphones for travel. To make matters worse the trim piece on the headband broke off and left a very unsightly appearance with wires and foam padding exposed. The battery door falls off when opened and inserting batteries is an awkward process at best. After several frustrating attempts Creative wrote this off to normal wear and tear and denied my request. The Creative Aurivana Headphones have acceptable sound quality and noise reduction, but are cheaply made and fall apart despite extreme care in handling the product with no support given from the manufacturer for such problems. I bought my Creative headphones after considerable research and thought on my purchase decision. I emailed Creative Labs and they could not use the pictures taken with my iPhone.

I sent them pictures and emailed the Chairman.no service.great sound.completely flawed design.do not waste your money. The band houses a metal piece which provides the tension to hold the ear phones in place. Do not buy these head phones. There are dozens of complaints for this problem. Comfort is good.

I tried to get Creative to replace my phones when they failed and was offered a new pair to purchase at what I paid for them in the first place.no consideration for the design flaw. The band over your head will fail after very little usage. The headset will break and you will get no support at Creative Labs. Sound is good. For the price, choose a different product.Copied below is a review from another site that says it best.

The metal piece is housed in a flimsy plastic housing that cracks and fails under normal usage due to pressure applied whn putting the ear phones on and off your head.

CASE IS NOT SUPER HARD BUT HARD ENOUGH TO PROTECT UNLESS UNDER STRONG PRESSURE. NOISE CANCELLATION IS VERY GOOD.

FIRST HEADSETS OF THIS TYPE SO NOTHING TO COMPARE WITH. ONLY COMPLAIN IS THAT WHEN I MOVE MY JAW OR SMTH I HEAR SOUND OF FRAME MAKING LITTLE CREACHING NOISE.

CAN HAVE EM ON FOR HOURS AND THEY DONT BOTHER ME. OTHER THAN THAT VERY HAPPY.

SHIPPED ON TIME. SOUND IS VERY GOOD.

I WOULD SAY THAT IT IS NOT SIGNIFICANT.
